Overview
The project aimed to review and certify the state’s Patient Hoist rails and design remedial works that were required.
Background
What we did
Our team undertook inspections at sites around Tasmania. We completed an engineering analysis of the Patient Rail mounting and adjacent structures in accordance with the patient hoist code. Where installations were deficient, remedial works plans were developed. On completion, we issued form 55’s certifying the installations.
Outcomes
Hoists statewide are structurally adequate to carry the rated loads.
