Connected engineering solutions for water infrastructure

Connected engineering solutions for water infrastructure

Water moves through many parts of our built environment. Asset owners, utility authorities and developers often need to understand how water flows or is distributed through pipes, pumps or storage before it reaches its designated end point.

We work with utility authorities, government agencies, industrial operators, land developers and contractors to support the planning, design and delivery of drainage, coastal, water and wastewater infrastructure.

Our water services draw on our hydrology, hydraulics, civil, mechanical, structural and electrical teams to support integrated and practical infrastructure.

Our Services

Our water services

We support water utilities, road and rail authorities, local government, industrial operators, land developers and contractors from concept through to commissioning, where we are engaged. Our experience spans flood and drainage, pipeline networks, pump stations, dams and coastal water infrastructure.

Bridge and creek scour assessments

We combine hydraulics and geotechnical inputs to provide scour assessments and develop solutions for complex conditions.

Coastal analysis and modelling

We provide outfall studies, marine discharge studies plus flushing studies and water quality for harbours and marinas.

Drainage design and water quality modelling

We can support engineering works with drainage design, including a range of hydraulic modelling approaches, water quality modelling and design of stormwater and drainage infrastructure.

Hydraulic and hydrologic analysis

Our team delivers flood modelling analysis, flood impact assessment, water-related infrastructure planning using 1D and 2D modelling.

Pipeline design

Concept to detailed design of water mains, pressure sewers and gravity sewers, including alignment, materials, structural assessment and constructability.

Pumping system design

Sewer and water delivery pump stations with integrated civil, structural, mechanical and electrical design.

Tanks and dams design

We can help with the design of small dams and concrete retaining structures, dam inspections, spillway assessments and embankment specification.

Our approach

Our approach

Practical, collaboration led delivery

Practical, collaboration led delivery

We work closely with local councils, water utility authorities, developers and asset owners. Our engineers visit sites, assess site conditions, and consider project requirements. This integrated approach supports collaboration across organisations throughout the life of the project.
Our industry credentials

Our industry credentials

We understand and apply relevant national and state standards to deliver flood studies, engineering designs, and water and wastewater related infrastructure.

Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR)

Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR)

ARR is a key national guideline for estimating design flood characteristics in Australia. We apply current ARR methodology across all flood studies and hydraulic assessments, and can assist clients understand how updates may affect existing studies and infrastructure planning.

Water Services Australia codes

Water Services Australia codes

Where engaged to do so, we prepare detailed design and documentation incorporating all the applicable Water Services Australia Codes and project specific requirements. This includes for pressure and gravity pipeline design, pump station design, valving and valve pits, and water storage solutions and electrical switchboard and instrumentation and control.

Australian standards

Australian standards

AS3500 governs plumbing and drainage in and around buildings. Where engaged to do so, we apply these standards across sanitary systems, stormwater, hot and cold-water service design within developments, industrial sites and treatment facility buildings.
